This didn’t start as a brand. It started as a feeling, one we couldn’t shake. That most of us are carrying so much, with nowhere to put it. Creative expression used to come naturally, like scribbling in the margins or singing in the car. Now it feels distant. Or performative. Or reserved for people who call themselves “artists.”

Archive of Us came from a longing for spaces that don’t ask for people to be polished or “put together”. Where you can sit around a table, make something with your hands, and say something without having to speak. It’s not about making something beautiful. It’s about making something honest. The kind of making that softens you, that steadies your nervous system, that makes you feel a little less alone.

Every time someone shows up, leaves a sketch behind, a few words, a moment of real presence, it becomes part of the archive.

Not an archive of art. An archive of people remembering how to feel.

Our Story

About our founder

I started Archive of Us during a season where I felt a bit lost, honestly. Making things, smearing paint on paper, scribbling without thinking, helped me find quiet again. It wasn’t about making something good. It was about feeling something real.

Over time, that solo ritual turned into something I wanted to share. A space where creativity could feel safe and freeing. Like coming home to yourself. That’s what this is. Archive of Us is part personal journal, part open invitation. If you’re a little tender, a little curious, or just craving connection, pull up a seat. I’m really glad you’re here. -Sione Joy James (CEO)
